Your Mom's Vagina's Top 5 Albums of 2013

With 2013 coming to an end soon, I thought it was time to share my favorite albums of the year, and man there were some good ones!

5. Attila - About That Life

This made my list, because we all love a good party album. Yes, Attila is not known for their inspirational lyrics, they're partiers, they talk about drinking, getting high, sucking fucks, they're shit talkers, and I personally respect that about them.

4. Blessthefall - Hollow Bodies

Blessthefall is one of my favorite bands, and I was more than stoked when they released Hollow Bodies in August. Honestly, this whole album doesn't have a bad song on it, they all kind of tell a story, which I can appreciate a lot. Whether you're into their harder stuff, like the song Youngbloods, or you like a good love song/ballad, like their song Open Water featuring lead vocalist, Bokan's, wife Lights, I feel like there is something for everyone on this album.

3. I See Stars - New Demons

Okay, maybe I'm a little late to the ballgame when it comes to I See Stars, but they definitely got my attention with this one. I love this whole album, it's emotional, fun, and just fucking good. Let's talk about how young these guys are, and for this to be their, what, fourth studio album? It's just blows my mind at how good they are, makes me feel very underachieved in my life.

2. We Came As Romans - Tracing Back Roots

This was a hard decision for me, I really wanted this album to be my number one, but that would be being biased, because We Came As Romans are my favorite band. Regardless, this is a great album, it's different from their past releases, but still sticks to what we all love about WCAR. We get a taste of Dave's softer vocals, but we still get the hardcore vibe we're all used to.

1. Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal

No surprise here, huh? We all love this album, am I right? Okay, you might disagree with me, but you're probably wrong. I don't even know what to put about this one, except, HOLY FUCK! Bring Me The Horizon have always been a great band, I love their older stuff, but this album was a nice change. While it's still a very hard and to the point album, it's also is very gut wrenching. I got chills the first time I heard it, thats why it deserved my #1 spot.

Honorable mentions:
A Day To Remember - Common Courtesy
Asking Alexandria - From Death To Destiny
The Summer Set - Legendary
Tonight Alive - The Other Side
Paradise Fears - Warrior
Late Nite Reading - Walls - EP
The Story So Far - What You Don't See
The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation

*Make sure you give all these albums a listen, if you haven't already, and please, BUY the music, support the art.
